The MG Co. MRP11 Electronic Actuator delivers high-resolution (1/1000) rotary control for industrial automatic control valves, fuel cells, and complex refrigeration systems. Because the unit features an advanced stepping motor drive, it provides micro-adjustable stem tuning in precise 0.1° increments.

Advanced Performance & Diagnostic Features:

This modern digital actuator combines robust physical engineering with smart network communications. Natively, the hardware supports both Modbus-RTU protocols and standard analog control loops simultaneously. Consequently, plant operators can monitor live operational data—such as motor start cycles and accumulated stem angles—directly from a central PLC network.

Furthermore, you can easily configure parameters in the field. Technicians can adjust deadbands, toggle direct or reverse actions, and set full-open stop positions using the onboard DIP switches. Alternatively, you can use a standard USB Type-C cable to connect the unit directly to the free STCFG PC Configurator Software.

Additionally, the robust enclosure guarantees long-term durability in harsh factory environments. The diecast aluminum housing achieves an IP66 and NEMA 250-Type 4 protection rating. For applications subject to severe mechanical stress, engineers can select the optional non-contact rotary potentiometer to isolate the positioning circuit from strong vibration conditions.

MRO Retrofitting: Honeywell Herculine® 2001 & 2002 Alternative

For maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) managers planning facility lifecycle upgrades, the MRP11 acts as a highly efficient substitute for legacy Honeywell Herculine Series (Herculine 2001 / Herculine 2002) units. The product incorporates several vital improvements for retrofitting projects:

  • Massive Weight Reduction: In contrast to the heavy 12.27 kg (27 lbs) footprint of the old Herculine series, the compact MRP11 frame weighs just 4.5 kg (9.9 lbs). As a result, it reduces structural load on your piping networks by over 60%.
  • Built-In Environmental Protection: While older models often required separate external heating components, this actuator features an integrated internal heater. The heater automatically engages at 0°C (32°F) to protect the stepping motor from winter freeze-ups.
  • Simplified Field Deployments: Because the terminal box is completely separate from the main housing, electrical wiring work is significantly faster and safer during hot-swaps.

Easy wiring

The terminal box is separate from the main unit to make wiring work easier.

Operation can be checked at a glance

LEDs for operating status indicator can be checked through the rugged, transparent polycarbonate cover.

Easy parameter setting

Various parameters can be set with DIP switches or by using the Programming Unit (Model: PU-2A) connected to the modular jack in the terminal box, without opening the cover of the main actuator body. In addition, parameters can also be set from a PC using the configurator software (Model: STCFG).*1

Diagnostic Information Improves Equipment Maintainability and Reduces Costs

Diagnostic information is more than just real-time condition monitoring; it is important data for determining the timing and type of necessary maintenance. Because it can be used for both predictive and preventive maintenance, diagnostic information helps minimize downtime and extend the service life of equipment.

Actuator operating status can be checked from the STEPTOP PC Configurator Software (Model: STCFG) screen or via Modbus*1
